There isn't an option to "merge" the two dives together in MacDive, and the "Join Selected Dives" doesn't work as that is designed for combining two consecutive dives if you've just popped to the surface for a minute or 3. I now have duplicates of dives 146, 147, 148 and 149 - 1 with the basic info entered in Dive Log and 1 with the profile info from the Suunto. Imported the 4 new dives from the Suunto into MacDive (no option to select start number) Sync'ed Dive Log with MacDive which created the 4 new dives in MacDive (same numbers)ģ. Created 4 new dives in Dive Log on my iPhone (146-149), with the location, buddy, and date of the divesĢ. I knew I had 4 dives on my Suunto Vyper Air that I hadn't imported to MacDive so tried this:ġ. I don't think you can do what you are trying to as the MacDive application doesn't let you select a dive number when importing. Try it with a VR computer, if you really want to get frustrated! Re sync your iPhone to DL, checking write to device, the iPhone will ask 'use new log book' click yes. Open DL, re import from Mac dive, it again will show you the dives, you then highlight the new ones you want to import, change the box import from.(number), and the new dives will merge. (if you leave it open it hasn't saved the new data) Don't worry to much about running number in Mac dive.Ĭlose Mac dive, this will back it up. Check they are there now.Ĭlose DL, import from your DC into Mac dive.ĭelete any irrelevant dives, pool, or if you loaned out your computer. ![]() Import the new manual entries from the iPhone (into DL), checking import from device. You will now have a view only copy of your entire log book in DL. Yes Mac dive will now sync with your iPhone, but I think it lacks the full function of dive log for this purpose.ĭL is written specifically to manage the mobile version of it, although you can buy a license to create within DL, you don't need that.ĭownload DL (it's free), open DL, click import from Mac Dive 2 (or whatever it says), it will find it and show you the data at the top, import it all. ![]()
